City One Minutes Shanghai

The Institute of Landscape Architecture-Media Lab produced 24 hours city portraits of the city of Zurich during an intensive 4 days video workshop. The videos were part of a competiton of the City One Minutes Foundation in Amersterdam.

Now all 24 videos of our workshop were selected for the world expo 2010 in Shanghai and will be presented between the 1st of May until the 31st of October 2010 in the urban footprints pavilion. The videos will be exhibited on 24 screens, which show one city each minute.

Making a portrait of a city is to record the unique. To register the characteristics with which this city distinguishes itself from others. It is also the city seen through the eyes of the artist.
The exhibition will be a walk through the world of cities. An insight into where and how people live. A visual report of the now.
